MARIO GOSSELIN MAKING DEBUT APPEARANCE IN NASCAR
CRAFTSMAN TRUCK SERIES AT KANSAS
Lake Wales, FL (4/24/08)
Mario Gosselin, a well known driver from the ARCA RE/MAX and HOOTER’S PRO
CUP Series is planning to make his debut appearance in the NASCAR Craftsman
Truck Series this weekend at Kansas Speedway in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 250.
Gosselin, who is a Florida resident and Quebec native is no stranger to stock
car racing at KANSAS SPEEDWAY. In an interview this week he noted that he and
his team are “cautiously optimistic” about the upcoming race weekend.
“I am looking forward to the
opportunity to return to competition at KANSAS SPEEDWAY,” said Gosselin. “We’ve
been to KANSAS twice with our ARCA cars in the past couple of years and ran
great both times. I think we finished fourth here last year and almost won it
the first time we came out here. So even though it’s going to be my first start
in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, we are cautiously optimistic about our
chances.”
As his track record
reflects, Gosselin has enjoyed considerable success throughout his racing
career. He is a two-time PRO CUP Champion and three-time ARCA winner. He also
has two prior NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts and three Nationwide Series starts
to his credit.
Gosselin will be driving the
